Through the experiences of Trelawny, the youngest son, the book explores identity, belonging, racism, economic survival, and the search for personal direction in a world shaped by shifting cultural expectations. About the Book Bridge Project Dr. Mary Brown launched the Prince George’s Community College Book Bridge Project in 1998 and led it for two decades. The late Risikat Okedeyi later guided the project, helping connect the College and the wider Prince George’s community through the literary arts and meaningful cultural conversation.
