Message from the President,

This year, as I reflect on the journey of Prince George's Community College, I am reminded of the extraordinary strength that emerges when people unite around a shared purpose. "Together, We Soar" is more than the theme of this year's annual report; it is the lived experience of our college throughout the 2024–2025 academic year. It captures the collaboration, resilience, and bold imagination that define our PGCC community.

Every day, I see students arrive with hopes and ambitions, faculty who teach with passion, staff who serve with unwavering commitment, and partners who believe deeply in our mission. Together, these efforts sparked powerful moments of transformation that strengthened both individuals and the institution as a whole.

Within these pages, you will meet students whose paths reflect what it truly means to soar. Stories like "Taking Flight: How PGCC Launches Dreams into Reality" highlight the courage our learners bring to pursue their goals and the determination required to achieve them. Whether beginning a new journey, returning to finish one, or discovering unexpected talents, our students show what becomes possible when opportunity and support come together.

I am especially proud of the innovations that propelled our learners forward. Through "Solar Success: PGCC Students Power Maryland's Energy Future", we see students preparing to lead in clean energy and sustainability fields shaping our region. Our investments in energy-efficient learning environments further reflect our commitment to creating spaces that inspire creativity and comfort.

A defining moment this year was the NASA grant that opened doors to immersive STEM experiences. Watching students step confidently into engineering, research, and technology reinforces why pathways into high-demand careers matter and how potential is unlocked when students are empowered to explore.

Our commitment to care, access, and equity also deepened. Philanthropy played a vital role, as highlighted in "The Power of a Gift", where generous contributions removed barriers and changed lives. Expanded clinical partnerships strengthened healthcare pathways, and through PGCC Cares, wraparound services continued to support students navigating financial challenges, family responsibilities, and personal hardships.

We also celebrated an important milestone as our intercollegiate athletics program transitioned to Division II, launching a new era defined by discipline, teamwork, and academic excellence. This achievement reflects both the talent of our student-athletes and our belief that excellence thrives in every arena.

Across the college, this year was marked by growth, national recognition, and innovation. New programs launched, partnerships strengthened, and faculty and staff created learning environments that meet the evolving needs of today's students. Each accomplishment advanced our mission and strengthened our momentum.
