Joanne Coley received an internship at Sports Illustrated on Professor N. Louis Holder's recommendation and began providing play-by-play updates for the Washington Commanders in September 2024.
Marcela Guevara, TyRose Marion, Jayda Rouse, and Icarus Mancia Vasquez built the deck and stage for the spring 2025 production of "Flyin' West" under the guidance of Professor Steven L. Barker.
Taylor Ashley (center) and Jessica Rickett (not pictured) were selected to represent the State of Maryland for the American Society of Radiologic Technologists Student Leadership Development Program. The three-year program offers students a chance to attend educational sessions and network with medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals.
Culinary Arts students Derrick Lobrido, Daniel McLean, Jada Ware, and Raven Simms participated in the Disney Culinary Program in spring 2025. Culinary Arts students Alexia Simmons, Cameron Foushee, Charmaine Jones, Cyane Brown, Derrick Lobrido, Ivan Herrera-Gonzalez, Joseph Madagu, and Marrika Rawlings were accepted into the MGM Culinary Arts Internship program.
Zaira Ahmed and Ahnora Ozor were named to the Maryland All-USA Academic First Team and honored at the Annual All-USA banquet.
Oluwadamilola "Dammy" Ogunbiyi, a biology major and Phi Theta Kappa member, served as president of the Body of Christ Club and secretary of the Student Governance Association. She was honored as an outstanding student organizational leader and named a semifinalist for the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship.
Florence Nelson was recognized as PGCC's Outstanding Student Organizational Leader. She holds several leadership roles in student organizations on campus, including: Student Government Association, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Phi Theta Kappa, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and The Owl newspaper. Additionally, Nelson represented PGCC as a student speaker at Student Advocacy Day 2025 in Annapolis, Maryland.
