As PGCC athletics director for more than 20 years, Jo Ann Rogers Todaro has consistently emphasized academic excellence alongside athletic achievement. Under her guidance, hundreds of student-athletes have earned NJCAA All-American honors, claimed region championships, and competed in multiple NJCAA National Championships.
Her influence extends beyond the College to the national stage. Since 1997, Rogers Todaro has actively shaped NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer, serving in leadership roles including president of the Coaches Association and chair of the DI Women's Soccer Committee. Her advocacy helped expand the NJCAA DI Women's Soccer Tournament from an eight-team single-elimination format to a twelve-team pool play format in 2012, improving the experience for student-athletes nationwide.
Rogers Todaro's contributions, dedication, and hard work have been recognized by several awards, including MD JUCO Athletic Director of the Year (2006, 2008, 2012), the NISOA/NSCAA Charles Lee Merit Award (2008), the NJCAA Mary Ellen Leicht Service Award (2018), 2022 George Killian Award of Excellence and 2024 Region 20 Carol Eustis Athletic Director of the Year.
