LARGO, MD (May 30, 2025) — Clean Slate Solar is proud to announce the successful launch of its in-person solar workforce development training program in Prince George's County, designed to support underserved communities—particularly returning students and individuals seeking career transitions.

This initiative, called the "Solar Learning Lab," is developed in collaboration with the Sustainable Energy Workforce Development Program (SEWDP) at Prince George's Community College and aims to equip local residents with hands-on training, industry-recognized certifications, and clear pathways to employment in Maryland's fast-growing clean energy sector.

"Partnering with Clean Slate Solar allows us to offer students direct access to career pathways in the clean energy sector," said John Deadwyler, program director at SEWDP. "This collaboration not only strengthens our local workforce but also ensures that communities who have historically been left behind are now at the forefront of Maryland's energy future."

The first cohort included returning adult learners and individuals reentering the workforce. Participants received safety instruction, soft-skills development, and hands-on training in solar installation.

"Our mission goes beyond building solar projects—it's about building opportunities," said Patrick McNamara, managing partner at Clean Slate Solar. "By working with SEWDP, we're ensuring that residents in Prince George's County can gain the skills, experience, and confidence needed to thrive in this fast-growing industry," added Soho Arora, managing partner at Clean Slate Solar.

Clean Slate Solar remains committed to creating opportunities that empower residents and contribute to a more sustainable future.
