High School Diploma Option
(GED)

Do you want to earn your high school diploma?

Our Adult Education Program provides free GED® preparation, as well as basic reading and math classes. Enrollment in the program is determined by placement test results, which help us assign learners to classes that match their skill levels.

The GED classes are designed for adults who are getting ready to take the official GED® tests and who need to review their skills. These classes focus on reading, writing, math problem-solving, and test-taking strategies. Additionally, we offer classes in social studies, science, and computer skills during the spring and summer semesters. Classes are scheduled throughout Prince George's County in the mornings and evenings, with some programs available only on Fridays and Saturdays. Most classes run for a total of 60 hours each semester.

We also offer basic math and reading classes for adults who need to strengthen their reading, writing, and math skills before attempting the official GED® tests.

Students at all levels are responsible for purchasing their textbooks. Registration and placement testing are available at our main campus in Largo. Please consult the current registration schedule for more details.
