We offer a variety of programs for older adults to expand their knowledge, skills, and talents.
Keeping Older Adults Young
Continuing Education Courses
Learn new skills and gain confidence with courses in swimming, computers, design, creative writing, art, and music. Additional options include hair braiding, interior design, photography, and languages.
Note: If a course listing includes an asterisk, tuition is free for Maryland residents age 60 and older. Seniors are responsible for an $85 registration fee each semester, the cost of any required textbooks, and any special fees such as lab, music, or supply costs.
SAGE (Seasoned Adults Growing Educationally)
Free tuition is available for Maryland residents age 60 and older. SAGE courses cover topics such as poetry, history, financial and estate planning, pottery, and fitness.
Academic (Credit) Courses
Maryland residents age 60 and older are also eligible for free tuition in regular academic courses leading to a degree. Seniors must pay a one-time $25 application fee, a $25 registration fee each semester, the cost of any required textbooks, and any special lab, music, or supply costs.
ESL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
Older adults not proficient in English can take courses to improve their reading, writing, and speaking skills.
High School Diploma Options
It is never too late to earn a high school diploma! We offer a path to completion at PGCC.
