Accounting for Managers
OFC 548: Accounting for Managers
This course focuses on sources of accounting information such as budgets, financial reports, and ratios to aid managers in decision-making. The course adopts a user’s approach and does not emphasize the technical aspects of accounting, such as creating journal entries and financial reports. This course meets concurrently with the credit course ACC 1030. A textbook is required for this course.

QuickBooks
OFC 326: Introduction to QuickBooks: Part I
This course covers setting up a chart of accounts, vendors, customers, inventory, and payroll records, entering typical transactions, and preparing standard financial statements using QuickBooks software. You'll need to complete this course before proceeding to OFC 344 or QuickBooks: Part II. This course meets concurrently with the credit course ACC 1070. A textbook is required for this course.
Prerequisites: OFC 361, OFC 341, or accounting experience. Students should have a basic understanding of key accounting and bookkeeping terms.

OFC 344: QuickBooks: Part II
Students will establish a chart of accounts, vendors, customers, and inventory records, enter typical transactions, and prepare standard financial reports for merchandising firms using QuickBooks. An accounting background is helpful but not required. Students must take QuickBooks: Part 2 to register for QuickBooks: Part 3. This course meets concurrently with the credit course ACC 1090. A textbook is required for this course.

Learning on your own time
Students taking an online class can access course content 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and discuss using Canvas with their instructors and fellow learners. Our instructors use Canvas to set deadlines and due dates for assignments, tests, projects, and other course assignments.
Remote
Learning in real-time
Students taking a remote class will meet online via the Canvas platform at scheduled times with deadlines and due dates. They will access learning materials, assignments, and discussions via Canvas.
