Program Overview
We've designed IT Fundamentals for individuals considering a career in information technology (IT) or those working in an allied field that requires a broad understanding of IT.
Topics include basic computer concepts, types of computers, hardware and software components, networking, network protocols, information security, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting computer systems, and future technologies. This course provides instruction on the CompTIA IT Fundamentals Certification Exam.
TEC-485 IT Fundamentals
This course is designed for individuals pursuing professional development training in information technology and provides instruction on the CompTIA IT Fundamentals Certification Exam. Topics include basic computer concepts, types of computers, hardware and software components, networking, network protocols, information security, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting computer systems, and future technologies.
Cost: $420*
*Includes a $125 lab fee.
Course Delivery Format
Remote Classes: Learning in Real Time
Remote classes meet online via Zoom within your Canvas course at scheduled times. Students can interact with their instructors and classmates in real time while accessing learning materials, submitting assignments, and participating in discussions through Canvas. Deadlines and due dates are provided to keep students on track.
