Buying a CompTIA Exam Voucher
Current PGCC students who have completed at least one credit or Continuing Education course in the past two years may purchase CompTIA exam vouchers at a substantial discount. Available exams include A+, IT Fundamentals, Security+, Network+, Cloud+, Linux+ and CySA+.
Placing an Order
Vouchers can be paid for only with a credit or debit card. Cash and checks are not accepted. This policy helps prevent credit-card fraud and unauthorized sales.
Email or call the designated PGCC representative to request a voucher. The representative will complete the secure online purchase for you.
The online form cannot be saved or printed; all personal data is automatically deleted after submission.
Redeeming Your Voucher
After the purchase, CompTIA emails the voucher code to the College, and we forward it to you within 48 hours, if not sooner.
You may redeem the voucher at any Pearson VUE testing center. Visit the Pearson VUE website to find a location near you.

How much does the voucher save?
The amount varies, but when you buy a voucher, your cost for an exam is roughly 50% of the amount paid by the general public. The prices of selected CompTIA exams with and without the discount are as listed below.

Who is eligible for the discount voucher?
Any PGCC student may purchase a discount voucher. You must be a current student (meaning you are in the College’s records system and have taken a credit or continuing education course within two years).
How do I obtain and pay for the voucher?
Payment is via credit or debit card only. The payment system does not accept cash or checks. This process is designed to eliminate the possibility and perception of possible credit card fraud or the sale of vouchers.
Where can I use the voucher once I have obtained it?
The voucher can be used at any Pearson VUE Testing Center. To locate a Pearson VUE Testing Center, go to Vue and search for a local site. You can also go to CompTIA to see if you are eligible to take the test from the comfort of your home.
How do I set up my appointment at the Pearson Vue Testing Center?
You can go to Vue to schedule your appointment. You can also go to CompTIA to see if you meet the requirements to take the exam from your home.
How long is the voucher good for?
Vouchers are valid for twelve months from the date of issue.
What if I decide not to take the certification exam? Can I give or sell the voucher to another person?
Vouchers are not transferable. Attempting to transfer the voucher to another person violates the agreement with CompTIA and is fraud.
This is a good deal for the students. Does PGCC want anything in return?
When a student uses the discount voucher program, the College expects the student to tell us the exam results. The College will use this information to evaluate the effectiveness of our certification preparation courses. We will only use this information in group form and will not provide individual results or scores to anyone.
