This course provides an overview of the principles of food microbiology, important food-borne diseases, standards enforced by food service regulatory agencies, and applied measures for preventing food-borne diseases and other microbiological problems. It also covers the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system. Completion of this course rewards the opportunity to test for a ServSafe® certification.

Students will have a working knowledge of expectations to get into the travel industry, working with hotels, airlines, cruises, and other industry partners. This course will include offsite visits to venues such as hotels and travel and tourism agencies within the region. Students must complete Parts 1 and 2 to receive a certificate.

 The travel and tourism certificate introduces students to the world of travel and the steps to becoming a travel agent. Students will have a working knowledge of expectations to get into the travel industry, working with hotels, airlines, cruises, and other industry partners. This course will include offsite visits to venues such as hotels and travel and tourism agencies within the region.
