University of Maryland Shady Grove

All undergraduate students at the Universities of Shady Grove (USG) are transfer students who have completed approximately 60 credits at another institution. Only 300 and 400-level courses are offered at USG, so students must complete their program’s lower-level prerequisite course requirements before transferring. The Universities at Shady Grove (USG) offer select degree programs from nine Maryland public universities on our convenient campus in Rockville, MD. Students can finish the last two years of an undergraduate degree or earn a graduate degree on the Shady Grove campus in Rockville, MD. Students apply directly to the university offering their chosen major, but can select USG as their preferred campus location on the application.
