Celebrating Our Graduating Nurses
This PGCC Nursing Pinning Ceremony celebrates the achievements of the graduating nurses from the registered nursing program. During this ceremony, we celebrate the newly graduated nurses who will take the licensure exam, NCLEX, to practice as registered nurses. Later this year, we will celebrate our practical nurses in the Fall Pinning Ceremony.
Happy National Nurses' Month
This month, we want to honor our nursing faculty and student nurses who have demonstrated perseverance and professionalism while learning complex skills and decision-making in the classroom, lab, and clinical settings. The students learn to provide evidence-based care for patients, family members, and the community. The work of a nurse is accomplished with strength, empathy, and commitment. We celebrate the nurse, the heartbeat of health care.
About the PGCC Nursing Program
Established at the College in 1968, the PGCC Nursing Program aims to educate and transform the lives of our diverse population of nursing students to become caring, competent, and ethical professional nurses who meet the health care needs of our community. In 2024, the program ranked #1 nationally out of all prelicensure nursing programs with a 100% NCLEX-RN and 100% NCLEX-PN pass rate.
