The PGCC Galleries are the College’s hub for visual dialogue, creativity, and cultural scholarship. Through exhibitions, public programs, and student engagement opportunities, our galleries serve as teaching laboratories and community anchors—spaces where ideas take shape and artistic voices are amplified.

The College currently operates two spaces:

  • The Gallery at Center for Performing Arts – Our longstanding exhibition space featuring student, faculty, and visiting artists' work.
  • The Gallery at Marlboro HallOpening soon. Our new professional gallery is dedicated to modern and contemporary art, curatorial innovation, and exhibitions inspired by the College’s permanent collection.

Mission and Vision

Mission

The PGCC Galleries advance artistic excellence, cultural inquiry, and community engagement by providing inclusive, professionally curated spaces for learning, exhibition, and dialogue. We uplift diverse voices, support emerging and established artists, and contribute to the region’s artistic ecosystem through thoughtful programming and educational resources.

Vision

To establish PGCC as a leader in gallery innovation and arts education—where students, scholars, artists, and community members connect through transformative experiences that uphold museum-quality standards and celebrate the power of visual culture.

Gallery Standards

We follow professional gallery and museum guidelines to ensure the protection, preservation, and integrity of all artworks in our care. This includes:

  • Climate awareness and safe storage practices
  • Controlled access to gallery spaces
  • Clear installation and deinstallation protocols
  • Insurance and condition reporting
  • Fair and transparent artist agreements
  • Curatorial review of proposed events to prevent misalignment with the gallery's mission

These standards uphold both the artist’s trust and the College’s commitment to excellence.
