J-1 Visa Holders

J-1 visa holders requesting enrollment to satisfy Au Pair requirements should complete the following steps:

1. If you are interested in ESL courses, please visit https://www.pgcc.edu/go/transitionesl/ and contact the Adult Education department at adulteducation@pgcc.edu to determine which option is best for you. If you are interested in taking credit or continuing education courses, please complete the general credit online application as a non-degree-seeking student.
2. Register for credit or continuing education classes. Click here for registration instructions for credit courses and click here for registration instructions for continuing education courses.

In order to qualify for in-county or in-state tuition rates, please submit the following documents to internationalgroup@pgcc.edu:  

• Visa  
• DS-2019  
• Maryland State Photo ID in the name of your host 
• Two of the following documents in the name of your host: lease, mortgage statement, car registration or most recent tax returns in the name of your host 
• Au Pair Training Agreement

You will be charged the out-of-state tuition rate if this documentation is not provided. Information about tuition rates can be found here.
