Make Your Pitch

Are you a student entrepreneur ready to pitch a new business or innovative idea? Participate in our Student Startup Pitch Competition! Winners will be selected by a panel of judges, comprising faculty and business professionals, using a structured rubric.

Teams are scored on feasibility, desirability, viability, innovation, and presentation skills. Faculty judges will select five finalists. The teams with the highest scores will be named first-round winners and advanced to the second round for a chance to win a cash prize.

This competition is hosted by the PGCC Business and Entrepreneurship Department.

Participate in a Two-Part Event

1st Round (Completed)

The Business & Entrepreneurship Department proudly launched the first round of the 2025 Student StartUp Pitch Competition, celebrating innovation, creativity, and student entrepreneurship across Prince George’s Community College. This exciting opening round showcased student-led business concepts designed to address real-world challenges through fresh ideas, emerging technologies, and community-centered solutions.

Participants delivered compelling pitches that highlighted feasibility, desirability, and viability while gaining valuable experience in public speaking, business modeling, and entrepreneurial strategy. Faculty judges offered feedback and encouragement, helping students strengthen their ventures and prepare for the next stage of the competition.

Round One served as a powerful reminder that PGCC students are not only learning business, they are building it. The department looks forward to supporting these aspiring entrepreneurs as they refine their concepts and advance toward the final round.

Entrepreneurship Making a Real-World Impact

Our Pitch Competition is more than an idea—it's a launchpad for purpose-driven innovation.

Business and entrepreneurship student Jasmine Froe, founder of Kind Dine, was recently featured by WUSA9 for her outstanding community impact. On Christmas Eve, Jasmine's initiative provided meals to 120 individuals across the Washington metropolitan area, exemplifying entrepreneurship rooted in service, innovation, and social responsibility.

WUSA9 will continue to follow Jasmine's journey as she prepares to launch her app and advances to the second round of our Pitch Competition—showing how classroom learning translates into meaningful, real-world outcomes. This recognition underscores the power of experiential learning and the impact our students make when given the tools, mentorship, and opportunity to lead with purpose.
