Prepare for a cardiac care career and master EKG technology.
Program Overview
Our electrocardiogram (EKG) technician program equips students with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to perform EKGs. The curriculum delves into the electrical events that generate the various waveforms observed on an EKG. These waveforms facilitate the identification and comprehension of the standard three-, five-, and twelve-lead EKGs. The program comprehensively covers the most prevalent disturbances and life-threatening cardiac rhythms encountered in patients. Students will learn to recognize pacemaker rhythms, Holter monitoring techniques, and stress monitoring techniques, and apply basic principles of patient care.
