The final course will prepare students for the requirements and airspace classifications of the FAA Part 107 exam.
Experience Hands-On Learning
Here are examples of what students will learn through hands-on activities and classroom instruction:
- Fundamental flight skills and operations.
- How to identify key hardware and software components.
- Available career pathways and industry applications.
- Mission planning and data collection basics.
TDL-500 Introduction to Drones
Cost: $15 (plus $25 registration fee)
Have you ever wanted to learn to fly a drone? Spend a morning with our experienced drone pilot and enjoy learning about the emergence of unmanned aerial systems (UASs), or "drones," and their implications for the national and international stage today and in the future. Discuss their history, types, characteristics, uses, and current issues, such as privacy and safety. The College will provide drones for student demonstrations and hands-on operation.
